Spectacular in every way
Mad Max: Fury Road is exactly what I want from a reboot of a beloved genre property. It's one of the best action films I've personally ever seen. My adrenaline is still pumping so much and my mind continues to race to the point that I doubt I'll be able to get to sleep anytime soon. Everything you'd want to see in a Mad Max movie and then some. Tom Hardy was the absolute perfect choice for the role and Charlize Theron totally owned hers as well. Big thanks to Mr. Miller for finally returning us to this beautiful post-apocalyptic wasteland. Fury Road is a movie so steeped in its own legacy yet relentlessly modern in its presentation - its just a thing of beauty. Perfection. Loved it.
Very disappointing
The plot sounded promising, with a very intriguing premise and I made it a point to watch the next few episodes. A few people die and it really gave you a sense of being swept along as the characters come to terms with the new reality they're faced with and try to understand the Dome. But the show has been ruined by a terrible script and even more terrible acting. By the 2nd and 3rd episodes the characters have fit perfectly into their 2-dimensional roles and now I couldn't care less about them. I don't plan to continue watching.
Solid horror film
It's nothing you haven't seen before. It's not a game-changer. But it's creepy and effective, owing much of its success to the music and the disturbing images. Ethan Hawke is quite excellent here and keeps the entire film grounded when it very easily could have gone off the rails (see Insidious).
Decent sci-fi action film
Despite all its problems like Smith being Smith, its shocking product placement and its really loose association with Asimov - I still quite like this action movie. It's a simple story with some great special effects that hold up even today.
A truly fantastic end to a brilliant series
This film blows me away every time I see it. Serenity does everything right. It takes all that was good about 'Firefly' and turns it up. I love the concept, I love the universe, I love the characters, I love the writing. It's a non-stop, action packed two hours that put to shame near on all other sci-fi films of recent years. Joss Whedon truly shows that he's a great filmmaker.
Amazing film
This film is amazing. The cinematography is 100 % certainly not of this earth. There are sequences that literally blow my mind. I'm still picking up bits and pieces of brain lying around on the floor.
Great
I have finally watched this movie, and I loved the hell out of it. Joseph Gordon-Levitt is great playing the main character and Bruce Willis is the same with his. The film is confusing due to its time travel methods but in the end it all came to me.
Epic
I was amazed and blown away by this movie. The characters are awesome. The battle in New York was epic. And the story was well put together, too. I definitely recommend watching this movie if you have watched the other 5 movies of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
