The film takes place in an “alternate present-day” New York. Chris is a psychic collector – he compulsively picks up random objects off the street. Everything he picks up, however, has a use for someone in their future. This gift causes him to “slip” time – going uncontrollably back and forth between past, present and future. When he commits a murder in the future, he realizes he has to consciously take control of his present to prevent it from happening. But how can he do that if he’s not even sure of *when* he is?
