Loved every minute of it!!
Great movie, nice action sequences and funny humor mixed in. The movie was extremely visual and you fall in love with the ants. I enjoy watching it.
boring..
It's a good movie for kids but too boring for adults! The only thing that was good was the music.
Excellent movie
The movie had me on the edge for the whole 117 minutes. It is an action packed thriller, but also touches your heart. I hope they will make more movies like that. It really makes you think afterwards.
Not too good
Really messed up what could have been a good Fantastic 4 movie. I'm a little bit sorry that I watched the movie.
Great movie
Matt Damon plays astronaut Mark Watney, a botanist on the Ares III team exploring Mars until a sudden storm raises holy Hell. Watney is hit with flying debris and presumed dead, leaving Commander Lewis (Jessica Chastain) no choice but to leave him behind to save the rest of her crew. Little do they know that Watney is still very much alive and stranded alone on the distant planet. The movie obviously has a great plot and actors, but the 3D effects weren't something special as everyone is saying. Otherwise, very interesting movie. Glad to watched it.
Interesting subject
This subject is meravellus.
Watching a series that speak about mages, u could see alot of magic!!!
I wonna see the second season asap!!!
Brilliant and prematurely canceled!
I loved this show! I'm still upset that is was canceled. It was a true breath of fresh air. So funny, well acted, interesting, witty... I could go on, but alas... it is no more. :-(
Pretty good, for a TNT original
This show is solid. Being a TNT original, it has it's cheesy moments, but not nearly as many as Falling Skies. The overall story is very intriguing, and, while the script and acting has weak spots, it is generally well told. If it wasn't a summer series, I might not have time for it, but currently, it's one that I really look forward to. Plus, they film it on actual navy ships, which is a bonus.
Surprisingly brilliant and high quality
I expected this show to be glossy, campy, and generally bad, but I was shocked to discover the exact opposite! Yes, the cast is gorgeous, but the similarities to the cheese teen genre CW shows stops there. The story is brutal, the scripts are well written, the acting and directing is phenomenal, the set and costume design pull you right in, and, aside from a rather poorly done scene with a gorilla, the science fiction aspect is intriguing and plausible. I can't say too much without giving things away, but as the seasons progress, you start to see how much they have gone out of their way to create a unique and complex universe. But the real hooker of this show are the characters and social dynamics of the post-nuclear fallout society. They are fascinating, relatable, and oftentimes unpredictable. Bad guys don't always stay bad, and good guys don't always stay good. Rather, people make hard choices in hard situations, making no one really good or bad, depending upon your point of view. The show takes you in directions you never expect. In fact, the only thing you are sure to feel is glad to not be them, but you will be pulling for them the whole way! I'm telling you, this show is an absolute gem, and you will be hooked from episode one. So far, it just keeps getting better and better. More please!
Black Mirror is completely awesome!
I found this serie because Arcade Fire's song Black Miror (duh?) and I fell in love. The stories change in every episode and that's kinda sad because it's so catchy that you start have feels for the characters. Watch it now!
Spectacular in every way
Mad Max: Fury Road is exactly what I want from a reboot of a beloved genre property. It's one of the best action films I've personally ever seen. My adrenaline is still pumping so much and my mind continues to race to the point that I doubt I'll be able to get to sleep anytime soon. Everything you'd want to see in a Mad Max movie and then some. Tom Hardy was the absolute perfect choice for the role and Charlize Theron totally owned hers as well. Big thanks to Mr. Miller for finally returning us to this beautiful post-apocalyptic wasteland. Fury Road is a movie so steeped in its own legacy yet relentlessly modern in its presentation - its just a thing of beauty. Perfection. Loved it.
Amazing
is hard to explain, how this series looks more like a long movie to a classical TV series. Has excellent graphics, a story who takes you. A futuristic setting so close to ours. But the story is the key point.
I will not tell you more for non-spoiler, but believe me the story will leave you stuck, waiting for the second season.
Enjoy the show!
Must see
This series seems the classic American movie. the characters and the plot are discounted and discounted. effect are the main characters of the film avenger. Evolving, fortunately, the story begins to take its own direction. use as background the world marvel, but it becomes something interesting. We hope to continue well!
The Gateway Drug
I usually show this to people who say they "hate" sci-fi or only have a very limited understanding of what sci-fi (and particularly sci-fi film and tv) is capable of. The show succeeds from a combination of great writing, solid acting from all involved, a wonderful tone and sense of place, and the deft blending of western frontier mythology, sci-fi tropes, class issues, humor, and a real understanding of human nature. It's criminal that the network canceled the show after (a) bungling the episode order and (b) not really understanding how to promote it in the first place. Watch this first before seeing "Serenity."
Could Be better
Good story, Good places, Good actors, but the sci-fi is real low, We have more drama teen than sci-fi.
But it's a good project. Must watch ^^
Had all the right elements but wasn't as much fun as it could have been
This movie has all the right elements to make it a great movie. The idea behind it is excellent. The story isn't bad. The visuals are great. The directing is great. And even the reveal at the end is really good. So what stopped me from liking this movie? I just didn't enjoy the main characters enough to care. While I was watching the movie, I wasn't excited to see what would happen to them. It wasn't that I disliked the kids, it was that I didn't really like them too much for anything. The lead wasn't a bad actor, but I wasn't convinced he wasn't just some snotty-nosed kid who wasn't getting his way.
This film is worth seeing to its conclusion. After it's over, you realize that it was a pretty cool story and an interesting idea. But they just didn't pull it off well in terms of characters. Except for Lawrence Fishburne. He did everything right.
Mostly adolescent nonsense
... with a reasonable underlying plot. I am sticking it out mainly as I cannot get a novel sci-fi fix elsewhere else. The 100 provides more grist to the mill that high quality sci-fi is being killed-off with Generation Y (no demand = no supply). It is pretty much a reboot of Lord of the Flies with all the modern banal titillations and visuals. I hope for cancellation and for channels to go back to commissioning some real sci-fi.
Star Trek It Is Not
This is the Star Trek film that should have never been. It's obvious that J.J. Abrams was no fan of the franchise, nor did he show it the respect that it deserved. The complete rape of the original history that was put in place by the films and television shows, along with a theme and storyline counter to everything Star Trek, could be forgivable(alternate timeline and all), if not for the complete lack of pacing, the shaking camera, lens flare, and an abundance of special effects that throw the concept of physics out the window, entirely. Nothing seems to have weight, friction, nor do the laws of momentum, that even a 6 year old has a grasp of, exist. This makes it difficult to set through some of the scenes. It had promise, but all of that was lost in the chaos of action and lackluster story telling that is the new Star Trek. If you are looking for a movie with substance, that isn't filled with a bunch of forced, silly jokes that don't belong, then you should probably look elsewhere. Wit is not strong here, it try's to force humor down your throat with a sledge hammer, rather than surprise you with well written dialogue with a little humor spliced in with precision.
The acting is so so, some of the visuals lack quality, the audio goes from too-quiet-turn-up-the-volume-can't-hear to blasting you in the face with merciless ferocity in nanoseconds, and the constant action, screwy pacing, goofiness, and shaky camera make the storyline seem like little more than something tacked on for added effect.
This is a mediocre science fiction movie that embodies, represents much of what is wrong with the genre, today.
Fun and Intense Action Sci-Fi
First, before anything else, DO NOT watch this movie in 3D. The 3D sucks. In general I'm not a fan of 3D but it has gotten better and studios have been more subtle about it. In this case, the 3D was added in post-production instead of filming in 3D. It looks like a muddled mess.
Overall this movie is fodder for sci-fi buffs. The story is fun. The plot is clear and doesn't feel too contrived. The acting is great. Tom Cruise is a pleasure to watch as usual. While the plot isn't original on a level of say, Inception, it is still pretty good. Most of all, this movie is *fun* to watch. You're rooting for the heros and it keeps you engaged. This is not the kind of sci-fi movie that will make you think of your universe in a different way, but it is about as much fun as you could hope for in a sci-fi action movie.
